“Educational achievement is one of the best predictors of economic advancement. Multiply that importance several times over for the single parent and equally as important for the children of that single parent.
This is why I support the Scholars Fund for Education.”
— Chuck Gordon, Russellville Community Member

Our MISSION

The Scholars Fund for Education provides financial assistance and personal support to low-income single parents who are currently enrolled in a post-secondary course of study leading to employment with family-supporting wages.

OUR WORK AND IMPACT

Our years of experience working in higher education with women and men has taught us that education is the key to unlocking economic empowerment. When women and men are educated, they have opportunity, choice and power to make healthy decisions for themselves and their families.

HOW WE DO IT

Our programs are delivered locally by local Pope & Yell County community volunteers. They provide the muscle and on-the-ground work that make our programs come alive.

OUR BOARD

Our Board of Directors includes local community members from Pope and Yell County in which we live and operate.
